Well, on Captain America it was the Army thought it looked cool.
On Thor it was because his dad thought it looked cool.
On Spider-Man it was because he needed a disguise so foolish no-one would ever think there was a real person under there.
On Hulk it was because Banner is convinced that purple sweatpants are affordable and will never go out of style.
On Hyperion… maybe the Milton household was just really into pro-wrestling?
