At some point in the late 80s, the superhero community first became aware of Portacio-Liefeld Syndrome, colloquially known today as “Youngblood’s Disease”. Portacio-Liefeld Syndrome afflicts the sufferer by partially blinding them, contorting their bodies in unique ways, and leaving them with a sexual attraction to pouches. Sufferers were stygmatized, but here we see (pictured) early efforts to raise money to raise funds, as a group of the Avengers are about to record the charity single that helped support work towards a vaccine.
